Productivity apps that actually work.

Most productivity apps promise transformation and deliver friction. We build the opposite. Simple mobile apps designed around one rule: they should actually do the thing they promise.

Ember
Lock in. Don’t let it die.

A focus timer built on loss aversion. Light a flame when you want to lock in. Your flame grows while you focus. Quit early, and it dies.

What Zuma stands for

We build the apps we wish existed. Then we ship them.

Mobile is full of apps that promise to fix your focus, your sleep, your habits, your inbox, and quietly fail. They add streaks. They send notifications. They gamify what should be simple. The product becomes the trap.

Zuma Apps was started because that’s not the kind of software we want on our own phones. Every Zuma app is built around one question: does it actually do the thing? If the answer is no, we don’t ship it. If the answer is yes, we make sure it stays that way.

Simple apps. Real results. That’s the whole pitch.

Loss feels twice as strong as gain. That’s the principle Ember runs on.
Behind Ember

The psychology behind our first app.

Most focus apps reward you for finishing a session. Ember does the opposite. You build something during your session, and you watch it die if you quit early.

That’s loss aversion. The same psychology that makes you finish what you started, applied to focus. We didn’t invent it. We just built the first focus timer that actually uses it.

It’s a small shift. But it’s the kind of shift that turns an app you delete into an app you keep.
